Sonic Ritual Productions

~ ritually expanding musical horizons ~

Over the years, Sonic Ritual has been a collaborative network of freelance production and promotion professionals in Montreal, sharing their talents and specializing in live production, tour booking, promotion and marketing world-wide since 1994.

Headed by Risa Roumeliotakis (former Marketing Director of Interchill Records, Director of Operations at Metropolis venue/theatre, and Production Manager of Les Foufounes Électriques), Sonic Ritual has produced independent events and live shows ranging from capacities 200 to 3000, tours across Canada and Europe, as well as marketing and publicity campaigns around the world for independent labels and artists. A team-spirited organization, it has often included renowned production & promotion staff with excellent qualifications, road and stage managers, sound and lighting technicians, graphic artists, printers, postering & flyering crews, roadies, loaders, ticket vendors, runners, security staff, photographers, and music business professionals of all disciplines for short-term or long-term projects. Ranging from festivals to record launches, Sonic Ritual has provided virtually unlimited services to meet almost every need with regard to live shows touring and marketing, while extending highly credible referrals. Please visit the history page for more details on past events and tours.

With an early affinity for the ethereal and spiritually inclined musics of the world, from both live performance as well as electronic composers/producers, Sonic Ritual has grown much deeper towards the world-beat, chill, dub, ambient, trance, electro, tribal, new-age origins and fusions in recent years. Having the priviledge and the pleasure to work with/for such artists as Adham Shaikh & Ekko (Canada), Suns of Arqa (Scotland), Makyo (Japan), Watershell (Canada), Professor Trance (Holland), Neil Sparkes & The Last Tribe (UK), Aspen (New Zealand), Legion of Green Men (Canada), Mere Mortals (Romania), Zion Train (UK), Jaia (France), Takashi Kohgo (Japan), Floex (Czech Republic), Alkemya (Italy), Lumo (UK), Ishq (UK), Sounds from the Ground (UK), Freeworm (Canada), Omnimotion (Sweden), The New Deal (Canada), Neotropic (UK), Manasseh (UK), Black Star Liner (UK), Catherine Potter (Canada), E. Shankar (Canada), Gordon Field (Canada), Dj Maüs (Canada), VFX (US), etc., and labels such as Interchill, Haute Couture and Hydrophonik Records to name a few, Risa Roumeliotakis, incessantly inspired, continues in her mission to nurture an already established inner-conscious network, and to enlighten and expand new listeners' horizons by sharing the brilliance world-wide in this market. Sonic Ritual truly believes that when specializing in a more selective musical direction, the passion for the product is clearly reflected ~ an enduring quality that shines forth naturally in the work. By sharing a common vision and enthusiasm with a client's or a team member's interests and principals, more often than not, the results speak for themselves. Thus far, these results have spoken the loudest, and this is what has set us apart... time and time again.

Constantly in search of creative, original talent around the world, Sonic Ritual welcomes recordings from world-beat/chill/dub/ambient/trance/electro/tribal/new-age influences, genres or fusions thereof. Artists/bands must provide as much information as possible on their history. They must be serious, extremely dedicated, focused, and committed to their own success. Preferably, the artist/band should have some experience and a quality recording that is being well distributed in the city they expect to perform in, a following in their home city, and/or an established, up-to-date fan mailing list.
